Our staffing agency is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant for one of our clients in Lowell, AR. The Laboratory Assistant will support product testing and quality assurance efforts by conducting hands-on evaluations of consumer products to ensure they meet established quality and regulatory standards. This role is ideal for someone with a technical or manufacturing background who is comfortable working with tools and precision equipment in a structured environment.
The Laboratory Assistant must be proficient in reading and writing English, as accurate documentation and adherence to written testing procedures are essential. Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety are critical for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing on consumer products according to quality and regulatory standards
- Follow detailed written procedures and testing protocols
- Accurately document test results and maintain organized records
- Operate mechanical tools and testing equipment such as tape measures, calipers, scales, saws, presses, and power tools
- Measure and verify product specifications with precision instruments
- Identify and report product defects or inconsistencies
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies
- Assist with additional lab or production-related tasks as assigned
- Prior experience in a technical, manufacturing, or production environment preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using measuring tools and power tools
- Ability to read, write, and understand English proficiently
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow written instructions and standardized procedures
- Comfortable working in a hands-on laboratory or industrial setting
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
