Job Summary

Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for coordinating the functionality of safety technology devices and adherence to safety standards. The incumbent will facilitate projects, determine appropriate repair plans, and utilize various systems to monitor device health and safe practices.

Schedule

Thursday‑Saturday and every other Wednesday from 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile reports in a timely manner on a regular basis and as requested; analyze data sets for outliers, progress status, and exceptions
  • Gather and maintain all required tracking and paperwork for processes and projects using multiple systems to ensure company requirements are met and equipment is operationally functional
  • Communicate with Safety and Operations teams to ensure all standards and devices pertaining to safety technology are understood and met
  • Review documentation, audit files, and solve complex problems around the functioning of safety technology, such as device health, interpretation, and informed repair decision
  • Use the Smith System to identify risky behavior observed with safety technology
  • Coordinate with operations managers through various communication mediums to ensure functionality and troubleshooting safety technology devices; compose repair ticket for maintenance repair
  • Troubleshoot and triage day‑to‑day bugs/issues found in Safety Technology
  • Communicate directly with Operations teams for drivers that are operating in a unsafe manner that may require corrective action
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of how various technologies work within a class 8 fleet and improve experience working with ADAS/J1939
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent with 1–2 years of transportation/logistics, safety technology, or relevant experience and/or military equivalent
  • AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of approaches and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving operations or process problems
  • Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
  • Ability to review sensitive material
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas through various mediums
  • Experience in the transportation industry
  • Knowledge of DOT Regulations and Company Policy
  • Knowledge of J.B. Hunt
  • Knowledge of the safe operation of tractor‑trailer equipment
  • Experience working with ADAS/J1939
  • Knowledge of how various technologies work within a class 8 fleet
  • Familiarity with Power

Compensation

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
