Job Title: Laboratory Assistant
Primary Location: Onsite - Lowell, Arkansas
Position Type: Contract through December 31, 2026 - W2 Only
Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM - 40 Hours Per Week

Overview
Our client is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support its Performance Laboratory. This position works alongside senior laboratory staff to process samples, perform laboratory testing, document results, and support testing activities while maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a scientific background who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, attention to detail, and following established testing procedures.

What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • Understanding of laboratory information systems (LIS).
  • Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to accurately record, interpret, and communicate test results.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on laboratory environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work collaboratively with laboratory staff.

What You'll Do. (Skills Used in this Position)

  • Assist senior laboratory staff with processing laboratory samples.
  • Perform routine laboratory testing using standard laboratory equipment.
  • Build and adapt basic test setups and equipment as needed.
  • Follow established test plans, procedures, and datasheets.
  • Record, analyze, and explain laboratory test results.
  • Prepare charts, graphs, and reports documenting testing outcomes.
  • Examine test samples and accurately read measuring instruments.
  • Review testing data with laboratory supervisors.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operating instructions.
  • Learn testing procedures for various customer samples.
  • Communicate with customers during testing setup and operation when appropriate.
  • Operate designated laboratory equipment and tools safely.
  • Input and retrieve information using laboratory computer systems and software.
  • Perform routine maintenance and care of laboratory equipment and work areas.
  • Support engineers and laboratory technicians by collecting and reporting testing data.
  • Apply continuous improvement principles throughout daily work.
  • Follow all laboratory safety requirements, physical security practices, digital security policies, and company Code of Conduct.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $15 - $18 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance and paid time off. Talent Fish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
