Entry Level: Laboratory Assistant

Location: Lowell, AR 72745
Pay Rate: $17 - $18/hr, paid weekly
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Overview

Works alongside engineers and laboratory technicians to prepare samples, perform testing, record results, and maintain laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with technical equipment, and able to accurately follow testing procedures while documenting results.

Key Responsibilities Laboratory Testing
  • Process laboratory samples and perform assigned testing procedures.
  • Set up, build, and modify basic testing fixtures and equipment.
  • Operate laboratory instruments and testing equipment.
  • Follow established test plans, procedures, and data sheets.
  • Observe and evaluate test performance while accurately recording results.
Data Collection & Reporting
  • Record observations and test data with accuracy.
  • Prepare charts, graphs, and reports to summarize testing results.
  • Input and retrieve data using laboratory software and computer systems.
  • Report findings to engineers and laboratory personnel.
Technical Support
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions.
  • Examine customer samples and perform testing according to established procedures.
  • Assist engineering staff with testing activities and laboratory operations.
  • Communicate with customers when necessary during testing activities.
Equipment & Laboratory Maintenance
  • Clean, maintain, and organize laboratory equipment and work areas.
  • Ensure testing equipment remains in proper working condition.
  • Follow all laboratory safety procedures and company security requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Skills
  • Experience working with laboratory equipment or laboratory testing procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate data collection and documentation.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and report generation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently.
