Store Assistant Manager.
You are responsible for everything that happens during your shift. This includes cost controls, inventory control, cash control and customer relations. You must set the example, adhere to all policies and procedures 100% of the time, and expect the same from your crew. You will also handle staffing, paperwork, food management, scheduling, image and standards maintenance, customer service, attendance, transportation, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.
Responsibilities- Oversee staffing, paperwork, inventory, and cost controls.
- Manage cash control and customer relations.
- Maintain store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.
- Operate all equipment and prepare product.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, walk‑in cooler, and work area.
- Process telephone orders and complete associated paperwork.
- Perform inventory and take stock of supplies.
- Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Support team members in maintaining a perfect store image and customer experience.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Ability to operate all store equipment.
- Basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and accurate change giving.
- Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
- Motor coordination for hands, eyes, and fingers to perform precise movements quickly.
- Computer or touch‑screen keyboard skills for order entry.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle suitable for delivery.
- Ability to navigate varied terrain, including multi‑story buildings and adverse conditions.
- Standing, walking, and occasional climbing of stairs or ladders.
- Familiarity with temperatures ranging from 36 to 90+ degrees.
- Lifting items up to 50 pounds and stacking onto shelves up to 72 inches high.
- Carrying, pushing, pulling, and pushing trays on dollies (up to 30 pounds).
- Reaching, bending, crouching, and shoveling cornmeal or cleaning low areas.
- Handling heat from ovens up to 500 degrees and working with sharp edges.
- Driving deliveries within assigned area and handling weather and visibility conditions.
- Team members often progress from delivery drivers to franchise owners.
- Potential career paths include management, general manager, franchisee, or corporate operations roles.
