Experienced Reefer Technician​/Diesel Technician - Lowell, AR

Lowell, AR 72745. Salary Range: $52,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year. Shift: 1st Shift.

Transport Refrigeration of NW Arkansas, Inc. (TRA) in Lowell, AR is looking for experienced Reefer Technicians / Transport Refrigeration Technicians to join our growing team.

We're also interested in experienced Diesel Technicians, Diesel Mechanics, Trailer Technicians, and Heavy-Duty Technicians who have strong mechanical and diagnostic skills and want to develop their expertise in transport refrigeration.

If you've spent several years working in the diesel, trailer, automotive, HVAC, or heavy‑duty equipment industry, TRA will provide the Thermo King training and hands‑on experience you need to become a skilled transport refrigeration technician.

• $52,/year, based on experience

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain transport refrigeration units
• Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical systems, and refrigeration systems
• Service and repair APUs and diesel-powered heaters
• Diagnose and repair truck cab A/C and HVAC systems
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and component replacement
• Perform road service calls and participate in an on‑call rotation after training
• Use OEM diagnostic software, test equipment, shop tools, hoists, and other service equipment
• Complete repairs within standard repair times while maintaining quality and safety
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service environment

You don't need years of refrigeration experience to join TRA.

We'll provide training to help you develop specialized transport refrigeration and Thermo King skills.

• Several years of professional experience as a technician preferred
• Experience as a Reefer Technician, Diesel Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Trailer Technician, Heavy‑Duty Technician, HVAC Technician, or similar
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with diesel engines, electrical systems, HVAC, trailers, or heavy‑duty equipment
• Refrigeration experience preferred but not required for experienced diesel/heavy‑duty technicians
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent technical experience
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to obtain and maintain required technician tools/toolbox
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Professional, dependable, and safety-focused
• Driven to continue developing technical skills and certifications
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
