Pay Rate & Hours
Pay Rate: $55 to $60 per hour
Hours:
- First two weeks of each month: 40 hours/week
- Remaining weeks of each month: 20 hours/week
- Contract Duration: 6 months (initial); medium likelihood of extension
The Corporate Accountant will support key accounting operations, with a primary focus on transitioning FP&A accrual responsibilities into the Accounting function. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, solid analytical abilities, and the capacity to improve processes and strengthen internal controls. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccrual and Accounting Operations
- Support the transfer of FP&A accrual activities to Accounting, including process ownership, documentation, booking, and optimization.
- Prepare reconciliations between sub-ledger and general ledger systems.
- Prepare recurring and non‑recurring journal entries on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Perform monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations.
Process Improvement & Controls
- Assist the Accounting team in identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Education & Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA license preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of corporate accounting experience
- Public accounting experience strongly preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, accounting principles, and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
