Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lowell is seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our dynamic care team! As an AR Assistant, you will assist in the day‑to‑day accounting function of the facility, providing exceptional support to our finance team. This is a full‑time opportunity with a competitive weekly pay range of $23 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.

Northwood is a 123‑bed skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities
  • Discuss billing situations with residents and/or responsible parties, including the Director of Finance
  • Maintain accurate and timely records and reports, including all accounts, journals, deposits, ledgers, and more
  • Secure all cash and valuables on hand, per policy
  • Back‑up for the Payroll position
  • Complete Medicaid redeterminations when applicable
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Financial Services
Requirements
  • High school diploma or its equivalent required
  • Six (6) months of experience in bookkeeping or accounting practice; health care accounting experience preferred but not required
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Must be able to type 45 words per minute and use a 10‑key calculator
