Revenue Accountant

Responsibilities

• Update revenue data from upstream systems, including data structure analysis, cleansing, and enrichment.
• Research missing data and add it to the automated revenue accounting system (REVPRO).
• Validate REVPRO and reconcile it to upstream systems such as D365, Oracle, and  for monthly transactions.
• Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition principles to analyze revenue contracts and transactions within REVPRO.
• Close REVPRO system monthly and run REVPRO reports.
• Review revenue system reports, including negative revenue waterfall and Salesforce reports.
• Manage large data sets from REVPRO reports.
• Support system projects and external audits by participating in UAT testing, preparing documentation, and responding to audit requests.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Minimum of 3 years of overall work experience in finance close operations, financial statements, and/or revenue recognition.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
• Basic understanding of ASC 606 GAAP revenue guidance is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability and interest in learning new systems and data tools.
• Strong attention to detail and superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with different data sources such as ERP systems (D365, Oracle) using pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and IF statements.
• Experience working with revenue management systems like REVPRO (Zuora) and Salesforce.
