Nutrition Services Manager

The Nutrition Services Manager oversees comprehensive food service operations across Community Teamwork programs, with the primary responsibility for comprehensive meal service supervision for the Division of Housing and Homeless Services seven days a week. The position also provides nutrition services support to programs serving children and families. The Manager oversees menu planning, purchasing, inventory, budgeting, quality assurance, and continuous quality improvement across both areas while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, funding requirements, and agency policies.
The Nutrition Manager provides strategic direction for nutrition services through oversight of food production, menu planning, procurement, inventory management, budgeting, staff supervision, quality assurance, and continuous quality improvement. Working collaboratively with agency leadership and program teams, this position ensures efficient, fiscally responsible operations that support the health, wellness, and nutritional needs of the diverse populations served by Community Teamwork.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Ensure meals are prepared and served seven days a week to Individuals at the Church St. site. Including, but not limited to, breakfast and dinner in accordance to the Individual Shelter Scope.Oversee menu planning, food production, procurement, inventory management, meal distribution, and food safety practices to ensure nutritious, culturally responsive, and regulatory-compliant meal service.Track, review, and report out on Church Street Shelter Budget for food, based on cost per breakfasts, cost per dinners, and ancillary emergency food support for the Shelter, ensuring that the Food Services budget is at or under budget for the fiscal year and maintained at food and labor costs consistent with industry standards.Meet regularly with the Fiscal team on budget actuals and inform on any issues.Collaborating with partners, including the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, to potentially find alternative food resources through donors and volunteers.Ensure kitchen cleanliness at the Church St. site, including maintaining all inspectional guidelines.Provide leadership and oversight of nutrition and food service operations across the Child & Family Services and Housing & Homeless Services divisions, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery that supports the nutritional needs of children, families, and adults.Develop and implement department goals, policies, standardized operating procedures, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.Develop and manage departmental budgets, purchasing, vendor contracts, and inventory while monitoring expenditures and implementing cost-effective practices that maintain high-quality service.Recruit, supervise, coach, and evaluate nutrition services staff while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, professional development, and exceptional customer service.Partner with agency leadership, program staff, regulatory agencies, vendors, and community partners to support program operations, respond to changing service needs, and advance Community Teamwork's mission and strategic priorities.Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including local Boards of Health, and agency policies.Oversee monitoring activities, audits, inspections, required documentation, corrective action plans, and quality assurance systems.Uphold the values of CTI – Equity, Integrity, Compassion.The duties listed above are representative of the work performed.
