Site Superintendent-Excavation & Utilities

We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent – Excavation & Utilities to support a self-performing Site Division on active construction projects. This is a working Superintendent role responsible for hands‑on field leadership and full supervision of jobsite operations.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in excavation and underground utilities, along with the ability to manage crews, subcontractors, and daily field activities while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule commitments.

Key Responsibilities
:

• Provide complete supervision and responsibility for jobsite field operations
• Plan and direct excavation activities including cuts, fills, and material removal in accordance with contract documents, budget, and schedule
• Oversee underground utilities including water, sewer, and utility relocations
• Read and interpret site plans, grading plans, and utility drawings
• Manage and coordinate multiple work crews and subcontractors simultaneously
• Maintain safe working conditions and proactively address safety concerns
• Lead field personnel with a strong focus on productivity, quality, and teamwork
• Identify and respond to unexpected site challenges to keep projects on track

Required Qualifications
:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Jobsite Superintendent or Foreman performing similar excavation and utility work
• Proven experience with daily on‑site management of construction projects
• Strong working knowledge of grading, excavation, and underground utilities
• Demonstrated people management and leadership skills
• Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to schedule, direct, and manage multiple crews and subcontractors concurrently

Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements
