The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism was established in 1998 by former NFL quarterback Doug Flutie and his wife, Laurie, in honor of their son, Doug, Jr., who was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Over the last 27 years, the Flutie Foundation has impacted thousands of people and families affected by autism through several programs and initiatives designed to help people with autism live life to the fullest.
The Foundation also forges creative and impactful partnerships with autism self-advocates, families, organizations, and donors who share the goal of meeting the needs of people with autism today.
The Flutie Foundation is seeking a skilled videographer, video editor, and content creator to handle our video production and digital content efforts from concept through final cut. This role is responsible for filming, editing, and delivering compelling video content, along with supporting digital graphics and social media assets, that amplify our mission to support people with autism and their families. You'll independently shoot and edit high-impact videos and produce digital graphic assets for campaigns, events, partnerships, and evergreen brand initiatives, while managing projects that involve program participants, families, and community partners from planning through delivery.
Ideal candidates are strong self-shooters and editors with a good eye for design, comfortable directing non-professional talent with care and sensitivity, and able to juggle multiple productions in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Create, film and edit high-quality long and short form mission-centric videos (including reels, music videos, testimonials, promo assets, and more) for Flutie Foundation events, brand initiatives, campaigns, and social media platforms
- Serve as the primary videographer and editor for most productions, filming, directing, and editing independently, while collaborating with the marketing team to develop and execute creative concepts
- Project manage all aspects of video production, from pre-production through post-production and final edits, keeping every project on schedule and on deadline
- Schedule and organize video shoots including managing location, film subjects, and equipment
- Assist with script development and storyboarding for impactful mission videos, music videos, and more
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to improve the quality of our video content
- Maintain an organized system for filing and storing all video content
- Develop, edit, and create scroll-stopping digital content and graphics for social media campaigns, events, and partnerships across Instagram, Facebook, Linked In, Tik Tok, and You Tube, including assets for paid ad strategy
- Serve in production capacity for Facebook Live Shows and live-streamed/in-person events including setting up the livestream logistics and back-end processes for livestream and audio
- Track and analyze the Foundation’s online community engagement across platforms to evaluate content strategy
- Track and analyze Flutie Foundation audience behavior as well as overall industry trends to evaluate and improve content strategy
- Leverage AI tools to enhance the Foundation’s overall creative process
- Attend and activate at Flutie Foundation core events and 3rd party/corporate partner events (such as Get Air Sports and Jersey Mike's), representing the Flutie Foundation brand and mission consistently in line with the organization's culture and values
