On‑Campus Student Orientation Leader

On‑Campus Student Orientation Leaders help create a welcoming transition for new students to MCC, introducing them to the resources and support services available during all New Student Orientation and Welcome Month programming.

• Work with the Office of Student Engagement and IDS 101 FYE classes.
• Assist with icebreakers, facilitate class discussions and activities, aid in student navigation around campus, and perform other related tasks as assigned.
• Engage new students to foster a sense of community and belonging at MCC.
• Attend mandatory training, multiple registration sessions, and the Orientation program throughout the summer.
• Be trained for both in‑person and virtual orientation plans; a reliable computer with internet access is required.

• Be in good academic and student conduct standing.
• Maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.0.
• Demonstrate an ability to quickly establish rapport and communicate well with students.
• Work comfortably with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Possess good organizational, communication, and basic computing skills.
• Willingness to participate in both in‑person and virtual orientation plans.
• Availability to attend mandatory training, multiple registration sessions, and the Orientation program throughout the summer.

Location:

Lowell and Bedford campuses.

Hours:

Up to 18.5 hours per week, schedule determined upon hire.

Expected start date:
July 2026.
