SUMMER SCHOOL SERVICES 2026

SPECIAL EDUCATION SUMMER PROGRAMS

Special Education Program Specialists

Positions: Physical Therapists (1)

Speech Therapist/Assistants (6)

Occupational Therapists/COTA (4)

Dates of Employment:

  • 20 days - Students attend July 6 - July 31
  • 4 hours per day Monday-Friday (time TBD - mornings)
  • Includes up to 20 hours (5 days) of curriculum classroom prep and professional development prior to program start (June 29-July
    3)

Qualifications:

Certification in field (Speech, Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy)

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university

At least five (5) years successful experience as Specialist preferred

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work with ESY staff to provide support and professional consultation on integrating students with special needs into the summer school program.
  • Provide instruction and/or assistance to special education students incorporating curricula and objectives that extend the regular school day curriculum and meet the Individualized Education Program of said students.
  • Plan lessons/activities/accommodations as required and/or necessary.
  • Provide student’s opportunities to interact socially with other students in a variety of academic and enrichment programs..
  • Report on student progress to Program Administrators, Director of Special Education and Assistant Directors of Special Education.
  • Maintain student attendance and student records.
  • Complete and submit Progress Reports at the end of ESY.
  • Perform such tasks as related to the toals and objectives of the Extended School Year Programming.

Salary: $45.00 hourly per contract
