Long-Term Sub - Grade 5 Math​/Science

Job Description

Collegiate Charter School of Lowell (CCSL), a tuition‑free public charter academy, is seeking a long‑term substitute teacher to cover a maternity leave beginning September 2026 and concluding January 2027 (estimated). The position will be in a Grade 5 math and science classroom.

CCSL serves students K‑12 and provides an academically challenging program in a safe, structured environment.

• Teach: Infuse creativity into engaging lessons and ensure students achieve academic growth.
• Manage: Apply school and classroom rules consistently, use preventive discipline techniques, motivate students, communicate expectations clearly, and maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Record: Observe, evaluate, report and record students’ performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
• Collaborate: Work with parents/guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students’ behavioral or academic struggles and celebrate successes and growth.
• Commit: Demonstrate commitment to the school community by adhering to school policies and procedures and meeting attendance and punctuality guidelines.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and fluency in the subject area to be taught.
• All required state certifications for the position.
