Job Summary

The College Advancement Program Manager is a key member of the Institutional Advancement team and is responsible for managing the administrative functions of the Campaign Initiatives, Scholarship Application, Review, Award and Scholarship Ceremony process; coordinating with the Advancement Services Specialist in learning and managing our Black Baud database; supporting event planning; and assisting the Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations.

The role also involves duties related to managing a Capital Campaign, mailings, appeals, and fundraising programs, as directed by the MCC Foundation Board and the Dean of Advancement.

Responsibilities
  • Promote awareness and growth for MCC and the MCC Foundation by cultivating alums, donors, friends, corporate partners and constituents.
  • Coordinate and manage marketing materials in consultation with College Advancement and Marketing teams.
  • Coordinate mailings, e‑blasts and social media touch points.
  • Prepare application materials for grant processes, including faculty and staff Mini‑Grants.
  • Support Foundation initiatives, the annual spring fundraiser, Celebrity Forum and manage the event raffle.
  • Assist with Advancement Campaigns and Appeals as needed.
  • Assist with managing the annual MCC Foundation Scholarship Program timeline, application and selection processes.
  • Revise online applications and routinely review and update scholarship descriptions.
  • Correspond with student applicants and faculty/staff regarding the application process and awards ceremony.
  • Plan and execute the annual scholarship ceremony, including invitations, recipient bios, donor and presenter follow‑up, and logistics such as catering.
  • Process and organize scholarship payments in partnership with Financial Aid and Student Accounts Offices.
  • Assist with alumni outreach efforts, growing engagement opportunities in conjunction with the MCC Alumni Association.
  • Collaborate with Institutional Advancement Staff to cultivate local business support for alumni activities.
  • Collect alumni‑interest stories, record them in the database, and assist with alumni social media pages (Facebook, Linked In, Twitter).
  • Research alumni prospects using Black Baud, Research Point, Light Cast, Linked In to generate reports.
  • Collaborate with current students to promote future alumni identity and involvement.
  • Assist with donor research, annual report production, and college‑wide initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required with 2–3 years of experience in scholarship programs, financial management, fundraising and/or grant programs.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Commitment to the mission and philosophy of the College.
  • Experience with program, financial and time management skills.
  • Experience in grant, scholarship and program development with willingness to propose and implement new initiatives.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with database, scholarship, and financial software. Raiser's Edge experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Linked In).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to establish positive public relations and interact with diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain highest ethical standards and confidentiality.
