Job Description
Collegiate is searching for a high school Business Teacher. Primary courses of instruction will be Personal Finance, Intro to Business, and Marketing. Additional elective courses could be included.
This position could be part-time or full-time depending on candidate hours of availability.

CCSL teachers' primary assignment may be a specific grade level (including homeroom duties) or subject teaching to multiple classes/grades. The teacher may also be assigned additional non-instructional duties such as proctoring exams, supervising recess or lunch, or leading a club/group/activity.
Students who have a special talent or hobby that they'd like to share with students may also be encouraged to bring their talents and creativity to CCSL. Our clubs need you.

Special Education responsibilities:
Assist special education students with specifically designed instruction, enabling access to the same educational opportunities as their non-special education peers. Communicate knowledge and skills in an engaging and effective manner. Use a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum resources. Administer student assessments, plan instruction based on assessment data, and integrate technology.
- Assist special education students with specifically designed instruction.
- Participate in the pre-referral process of special education.
- Prepare individualized education plans.
- Collaborate with school-based related service providers.
- Collaborate with the team on curriculum and student needs.
- Assess educational needs of students using standardized tools, running records, and other informal assessments.
- Maintain complete records of reevaluation periods, required documentation, and parent communication.
- Integrate technology into instruction.
- Provide differentiated instruction as needed.
- Implement school, district, and department policies.
- Create and manage effective communication with parents of special education students.
- Communicate with parents professionally and continuously regarding student progress.
- Implement school and department policies.
- Additional duties may be assigned without additional compensation or stipend.
- Master's degree in special education required.
- Commitment to ensuring academic success for all students.
- Experience working in an urban setting (preferred).
- Experience working with diverse student populations (preferred).
- Experience working with the social/emotional/academic needs of children.
- Knowledge of special education law as it relates to the IEP process and FAPE.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply student performance data to instructional planning and execution.
ESE License:
Students with and without Disabilities, 9-12 and SEI Endorsement. Or passing the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL), which includes a passing score on the Communication and Literacy Skills test and a passing score on the relevant subject matter knowledge test(s).
