General

Summary:

The Director of Student Access and Support Services (SASS) provides leadership and oversight for disability services across both campuses. This role ensures institutional compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, supervises SASS staff, and coordinates accommodations and support services for students with documented disabilities. The Director also plays a central role in promoting accessibility, supporting faculty and staff, and advancing the College's commitment to equity and inclusion.

The Director serves as a key resource for students, families, faculty, and external partners, ensuring that students with disabilities are fully integrated into the academic and co-curricular life of the College.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and daily support to SASS staff across both campuses.
  • Manage hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, and workflow in alignment with College policies and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Guide staff in conducting assessments and using data analytics to inform program planning and improvement.
  • Maintain and oversee the Accommodate system, including user access, group management, review of initial request forms, updates to semester dates, templates, and picklists, and the creation and analysis of reports.
