Position: Part-time (.6) English Language Education Teacher: Middle School (5-8)

Job Description

Collegiate Charter School of Lowell is seeking to expand our ELE team with additional certified English Language Education teachers to work with our middle school for the 2026-27 school year. We are searching for a total of 1.5 FTE staff members to join the team.

Collegiate Charter School of Lowell is a tuition‑free public charter academy, providing an academically challenging program in a safe, structured environment. CCSL opened its doors in September 2013 to serve students in K‑3. The school has expanded each school year and currently serves students in K‑12 as of the 2022‑23 school year.

CCSL will prepare all students for success in college, equip them with the ability and desire for lifelong learning, and strengthen their civic, ethical, and moral values. What You Will Do
  • Teach:
    Infuse creativity into delivering engaging lessons and ensuring students achieve academic growth.
  • Manage:
    Apply school and classroom rules consistently and effectively by utilizing preventive discipline techniques, motivating and engaging students, communicating expectations to students clearly, and establishing and maintaining a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Record:
    Observe, evaluate, report and record students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
  • Collaborate:
    Work with parents/guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral or academic struggles and celebrate successes and growth.
  • Commit:
    Demonstrate commitment to the school community by adhering to school policies and procedures and meeting attendance and punctuality guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, and fluency in subject area to be taught.
  • All required state certifications for position – EL/ML/ESL for Elementary + SEI Endorsement.
  • Completion of all required reference and criminal background checks.
  • A bright smile, warm heart, and a plethora of positive energy.
