PositionPhotonics Integration Engineering Manager
We are seeking a Process Integration Engineering Manager to be responsible for the development and manufacture of photonics semiconductor devices. The candidate will have an advanced knowledge of semiconductor materials, theory, and fabrication techniques primarily focused on Laser and Photo Detector products. The candidate will lead the development of new device and process technologies, continuous improvement of existing processes, and sustaining existing device process technologies.
The successful candidate will integrate activities from design, thin film deposition, lithography, etching, and device testing.
- Development of new process technologies and fabrication techniques
- Support sustaining/operations for existing products
- Ownership of product line
- Data analysis (Yield, Parametric Data, Correlation studies)
- Failure analysis and root cause investigation
- New Product introduction
- Ensure specs, photo masks, etch recipes, MES route accuracy
- Trouble Shoot and disposition of material
- Write and modify procedures and work instructions
- Plan and execute DOEs
- Design, modeling, mask creation
- Failure Mode and Effects analysis
- BS or Equivalent with 10+ yrs experience (preferred PhD with 6 years or Masters with 8 years)
- Strong data analysis skills using statistical software (Excel, Mini Tab, Jump)
- Hands on experience with fabrication equipment and process techniques (Etch, Deposition, Lithography)
- Established record of previous process module development experience, and module integration
- Strong understanding of optical/photonic device operation
- Ability to work in a team environment and interact with multiple departments
- Skilled with Device modeling tools and CAD programs for mask design
- Familiar with MES systems
- Skilled in device testing and characterization
- Strong background in device failure analysis and root cause investigation
- Working knowledge of FMEA

The Salary Range for this position is $98,000 - $166,000. Actual salary offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
This position is eligible to receive restricted stock unit (RSU) awards and cash bonuses, solely at MACOM’s discretion, subject to individual and company performance.
