Responsibilities
- Perform continuous improvement of plant processes and equipment, including design, PLC program changes, mechanical and electrical documentation.
- Lead Six Sigma projects to reduce variation, improve uptime, and lower maintenance costs.
- Apply problem‑solving techniques such as Pareto analysis, cause‑and‑effect analysis, multivariable analysis, FMEA, and DOE to develop solutions.
- Initiate and lead plant teams for process improvement and coordinate with vendors, define SOWs, and manage contract deliverables.
- Provide technical support for plant operations, maintenance, capital project implementation, and Six Sigma rollout.
- Act as liaison between plant and Division Engineering personnel; communicate engineering needs, process changes, and project reporting.
- Monitor processes, equipment, and tools to ensure performance to specifications.
- Implement capital and non‑capital projects and work with quality and manufacturing to meet quality and engineering standards.
- Review new and modified specifications and schedule their introduction into the manufacturing system.
- Identify causes and develop strategies for eliminating recurring downtime.
- Assist in assuring tools, equipment, and processes comply with OSHA and EPA standards.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing) or lower degree with 5‑10 years of work experience.
- Understanding of Project/Program Management Methodologies.
- Strong communication skills to work across multifunctional teams.
- Working knowledge of PLC programming and ladder logic.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and related programs.
Preferred
- Experience with robotics programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics (Fanuc/Denso).
- Experience with AutoCAD or Solid Works.
