Position SummaryMACOM is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee execution of a portfolio of technology development and other corporate projects involving compound semiconductors and packaging for RF and photonics. The successful candidate will maintain visibility into project cost, schedule, technical performance, resources, risks, and deliverables while working closely with engineering and operational teams to continuously track progress and provide clear, actionable status reporting to management and executive leadership.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee execution of internally and externally (including government agency or customer) funded technology development projects; track cost, schedule, technical progress, risks, resources, and deliverables; coordinate with engineering teams and leadership; develop dashboards, forecasts, and status reports; lead project reviews and action tracking; manage technical proposal development, compliance, cost modeling, BOEs, and pricing submissions; coordinate contract administration, negotiations, reporting, and closeout activities.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Business, or related field; 8+ years of technical program/project management experience; technical background in RF, microwave, mmWave, photonics, semiconductors, advanced packaging, EW, communications, space electronics, or related technologies, experience managing cost, schedule, performance, risks, resources, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects; experience developing schedules, budgets, forecasts, resource plans, and cost estimates; demonstrated success supporting, winning, or executing government‑funded technology programs;
strong executive communication skills.
Advanced degree and 12+ years of technical program/project management experience, experience with government agencies such as DARPA, ONR, AFRL, ARL, FAA, NOAA, OUSD(R&E), OUSD(A&S), CHIPS, DMEA, military services, or defense laboratories; experience with defense primes; familiarity with BAAs, OTAs, FAR/DFARS contracts; PMP, NCMA, DAWIA, or similar certifications.
