CNC Process Engineer

You will use advanced CNC technology to solve complex machining challenges and help move critical products from concept through production. The CNC Process Engineer will develop machining processes, create CNC programs, support quoting, and improve new and existing production methods.
CNC Process Engineer Responsibilities
- CNC programs for up to five-axis milling, Swiss, and mill-turn equipment will be created and troubleshot.
- Tooling, work holding, machining sequences, and secondary operations will be developed.
- Drawings, models, specifications, and production requirements will be reviewed.
- Manufacturing processes will be improved for quality, safety, efficiency, yield, and cost.
- Production times, labor needs, tooling, and related costs will be estimated.
- Technical support will be provided for prototypes, engineering changes, customer questions, and sales proposals.
- Process documentation will be created and maintained.
CNC Process Engineer Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering will be preferred.
- An associate degree with five years of relevant experience or 10 years of CNC programming and process-engineering experience will be considered.
- Mastercam, Part Maker, Solid Works, or comparable software experience will be required.
- Knowledge of metrology, SPC, process capability, blueprints, and machining mathematics will be expected.
- Strong problem-solving, project-management, and communication skills will be demonstrated.
