Job Description
Hybrid role in office 3 times a week no exceptions.
Credit Officer is responsible for the evaluation of commercial credit risks and deal structure for commercial & industrial real estate customers. Prepare in depth credit analysis including the preparation of financial & industry projections in conformance with established policies, strategies and procedures for new loan requests, renewals, and annual reviews. Review standard loan documentation for conformance with approval terms.
Responsibilities- Underwriting Credit Requests, and interact with Lending Officers to complete Credit Request
- Responsible for preparing the Credit Approval Memoranda ("CAM") for presentation to the appropriate Loan Approval department. Analyze Borrowers’ and Guarantors’ financial statements. CAM must properly assess cash flow, collateral, and all risks associated with the Bank lending to the businesses.
- The Commercial Credit Officer will be a senior analyst for the underwriting team and will be working on more complex and larger loan requests.
- The senior credit analyst should be knowledgeable and comfortable to give direction on structuring of credit proposals to protect the Bank.
- Assist junior analysts with any questions that they may have regarding underwriting credit requests which would include structure, financial analysis including cash flow and specific industry particulars.
- Conduct portfolio reviews & credit & legal file audits periodically.
- Compliance covenant testing & follow for financial reporting requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field and 5+ years of specific work experience or a combination of education and work experience.
- Solid experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management, and analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling, & loan structuring.
- In depth knowledge of credit policy, procedures, regulation, & applicable law.
- Computer
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate Excel and Power BI skills, preferred.
Must be onsite and in the area at time of start.
