Mortgage Processor-Hybrid

Role

To receive and process all mortgage applications for underwriting approval while maintaining accuracy and efficiency, and knowledge of secondary guidelines, at all times.

• Review file documentation for completeness and consistency with the original information.
• Assemble, collate, and maintain documentation in proper processing order.
• Review loan applications for qualifications consistent with Align policy, procedures, and guidelines; recommend approvals or rejections and request additional information as needed.
• Communicate loan processing information to Home Financing Consultants, Underwriters, and Closers.
• Validate loans using Desktop Underwriting (DU), request documentation as DU dictates, verify and validate input data.
• Prepare loans for final underwriting approval and satisfy underwriting conditions in a timely manner; secure supervisor or manager approval if required.
• Maintain a weekly status report on all files.
• Answer member questions and obtain information and signatures on authorization forms.
• Perform follow‑up on pending loan applications (e.g., call members or other persons to obtain needed information, resolve discrepancies, and update members on application process and timing).

This is a hybrid position. Work on‑site in Lowell, MA one to two days per week.

Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (40 hours per week)

Base pay $22.00 – $28.00 per hour, varying with experience, skills, competencies, and certifications.
