General Summary of Position:
The Financial Aid Office is seeking a Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid, Programs & Compliance. This position is responsible for the fiscal management of federal and state financial aid funds. This position oversees the federal and state financial aid program administrators and serves as the primary liaison to the University Budget and Controller’s Offices on matters related to financial aid funding, reconciliation, reporting, audits, and fiscal compliance.
The Senior Associate Director ensures the effective administration and fiscal integrity of financial aid programs in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations and University policies and procedures.
The position monitors and evaluates changes to federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations, policies, and programs; assesses their impact on University operations; and communicates relevant regulatory and programmatic updates to key stakeholders. In collaboration with the Senior Associate Dean of Enrollment/Director of Financial Aid, the Senior Associate Director proactively reviews and assesses high-risk compliance areas and recommends policies, procedures, and operational improvements to ensure continued adherence to applicable federal and state regulations, institutional policies, and program requirements.
Minimum Qualifications (Required)
- An earned bachelor’s degree.
- Ten years of progressive experience in higher education financial aid administration, including demonstrated experience with financial aid compliance, fiscal management, regulatory requirements, and program administration.
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations, program eligibility guidelines, and reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyze, and apply complex federal and state financial aid regulations.
- Demonstrated functional expertise with integrated student information and administrative systems required.
Additional Considerations:
- Experience with People Soft Campus Solutions is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
- Commitment to promoting strong customer service practices and building relationships with students from entry point through graduation
This position is a full-time, benefited SEIU professional union position in Grade
P20
. Anticipated salary based on qualifications and experience within range. Minimum: $85,689 25th quartile: $98,542 and midpoint: $111,396.
