Residential Counselor (Mental Health Services

Schedule: Fri-Tue, 8am-4pm

Salary: $22/hour

As an ACCS Residential Counselor, you will provide direct support to individuals with psychiatric conditions in a residential Group Living Environment aimed at fostering independence. Your role involves collaborating with the individuals served, their families, friends, employers, and support staff to enhance their quality of life and build independence skills.

Your duties include administering medication according to the Medication Administration Plan (MAP), assisting with daily activities such as household chores and cooking, and working alongside the Clinical Program Director to implement recovery-oriented, person-centered, harm-reduction, trauma-informed, culturally competent, and strengths-based treatment plans.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Associate's degree in a human services field preferred.
• Experience in a human services setting strongly preferred.
• Preference for bilingual/bicultural applicants and those with lived experience of psychiatric conditions.
• Must be at least 21 years old, with a valid US driver's license for at least 6 months, and able to pass background checks.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within two weeks of hire and MAP certification within 150 days.
