We are looking for an experienced Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, MA. This role will work in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment and support our mission of “Improving Health, Improving Lives.”

Pay & Hours
  • Pay Range: $29.00 - $40.41 per hour (based on skills, experience, and qualifications)
  • Work Schedule: 5×8 shifts, weekdays 11pm–7am and every other weekend rotation

Job Responsibilities
  • Determine acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions per standard operating procedures
  • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
  • Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
  • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
  • Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as needed
  • Assist with processing of specimens when required
  • Maintain a safe work environment by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a non‑traditional degree meeting CLIA & State regulatory requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience required, or an MLS degree with ASCP or AMT certification preferred
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus
  • High level of attention to detail with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must pass a standardized color vision screening test
  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as business needs dictate
