    Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday. We open at 7am to 7pm M-Th and 7am-4pm on Fridays. Hours may vary depending on actual scheduled hours and company needs.
Responsibilities
  • Assists PT’s in providing services that help improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from all types of orthopedic injuries and diseases.
  • Help PT’s fulfill patient treatment plans and procedures by providing manual therapy techniques such as soft tissue and joint mobilization, massage and stretching, administer and supervise exercises and activities, as well as apply pain modalities including electrical stimulation, hot and cold packs, traction, ultrasound, vasopneumatic compression and more.
  • Records patient responses to treatments and reports outcomes of each treatment to the physical therapist.
  • Keeps treatment area clean and organized in preparation for each patient’s therapy.
  • Use internet-based EMR software (Athenahealth) for ease of completing documentation in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Minimum one year of experience, preferably in a clinic setting.
  • New York license.
  • Current CPR certificate.
