MRI Technologist

Salary and Bonus: Sign on bonus of $2,500.

As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high‑quality MR studies, on site and/or remote. You will ensure effective communication with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers, especially those working in a mobile environment. When required, you will train or orient new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR technologist assistants, on site and/or remote. You will produce high‑quality diagnostic images and may operate multiple MR systems.

• Ensure patient safety, including pre‑screening for contraindications and aseptic injection technique.
• Use all channels of communication to address concerns, solve problems, and resolve conflict.
• Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists.
• Provide training and orientation to new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR technologist assistants.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT, or contractual equivalent; state license, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or more than 6 months enrolled in an accredited MRI training program.
• No experience required for MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills; organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
• 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience.

• May be exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients on a mobile unit.
• Will be exposed to a strong magnetic field.
• May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious diseases.
• More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs; see, speak and hear to communicate with patients.
• Less than 50% of the time: stoop, kneel or crawl; climb and balance; carry and lift (ability to move non‑ambulatory patients).

• The COVID‑19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Local travel may be required.
