Position Overview
The SAP Master Data Manager is responsible for the governance, quality, and lifecycle management of master data across SAP systems. This role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and integrity to support business operations, analytics, and compliance. The position reports to the VP/GM of Fluid Solutions and is hybrid, based in North Andover, MA.
PrimaryJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Define and implement master data governance frameworks, policies, and standards within SAP.
- Establish data ownership, stewardship models, and accountability structures.
- Lead data governance councils and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor, analyze, and improve data quality across domains (Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance, etc.).
- Develop and track KPIs and metrics related to data quality and completeness.
- Conduct root cause analysis and remediation of data issues.
- Oversee creation, maintenance, and retirement of SAP master data.
- Ensure adherence to data standards and naming conventions.
- Manage data workflows, approvals, and automation within SAP (e.g., S/4
HANA, MDG, BTP). - Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize data processes.
- Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives related to data management.
- Implement best practices aligned with SAP capabilities.
- Partner with business units (Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Procurement, IT) to align data requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert for SAP master data processes.
- Provide training and guidance to data stewards and end users.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and audit standards.
- Support audit activities related to master data.
- Maintain documentation of processes and data governance policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in SAP Master Data Management or Data Governance.
- Strong expertise in SAP modules (e.g., S/4
HANA, MDG, BTP). - Knowledge of data management frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).
- Project management experience (Agile, PMP, or similar).
- Proven experience managing data quality frameworks and governance initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

The role is remote within an office environment, with occasional travel to manufacturing locations for meetings, training, or other company‑required activities.

$133,000 – $158,000 yearly.
