We are seeking an experienced Security & Resilience Platform Engineer to spearhead the implementation of our IT Operations Management (ITOM) module and serve as the primary technical owner of our Service Now platform. This role will drive the strategy, configuration, and rollout of ITOM capabilities (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB, etc.) while also supporting the broader Service Now ecosystem and future module implementations across the organization.

In addition to platform responsibilities, this individual will play a key supporting role in our vulnerability management and business continuity/disaster recovery (BCDR) programs, helping ensure our technology environment remains secure, resilient, and well-governed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Now ITOM Implementation & Platform Leadership
    • Lead the end-to-end implementation of the Service Now ITOM module, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB design/configuration.
    • Define ITOM implementation roadmap, project milestones, and success metrics in partnership with IT leadership.
    • Configure, customize, and maintain Service Now to align with business requirements and ITIL best practices.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for day-to-day Service Now platform administration, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
    • Partner with stakeholders to scope, plan, and support the implementation of future Service Now modules (e.g., ITSM enhancements, ITAM, Sec Ops, HRSD, or other modules as the platform expands).
    • Maintain platform health, including instance upgrades, patching, integrations, and data integrity.
    • Develop and maintain documentation, including configuration guides, process workflows, and end-user training materials.
    • Evaluate and recommend Service Now best practices, new features, and platform optimizations.
  • Vulnerability Management Support
    • Assist in the coordination and tracking of vulnerability management activities, including scanning cadences, remediation tracking, and reporting.
    • Support integration of vulnerability data into Service Now (e.g., Vulnerability Response module) to streamline remediation workflows.
    • Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to prioritize and track remediation efforts against SLAs.
  • Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCDR) Support
    • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of BCDR plans, documentation, and testing schedules.
    • Assist in coordinating disaster recovery tabletop exercises and post-exercise reporting.
    • Help ensure BCDR-related data, assets, and dependencies are accurately reflected within the Service Now CMDB.
Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering or implementing Service Now, with direct experience in ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, or CMDB).
  • Strong understanding of ITIL framework and IT service management principles.
  • Experience with Service Now scripting (JavaScript, Glide API) and platform configuration (business rules, workflows, UI policies, ACLs).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently, including scoping, planning, and stakeholder communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing technology environment.
