Systems Engineer
The Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer will implement best practices for MES structures and drive improvements to MACOM's factory MES system. The role involves working with other team members to sustain the modeling and infrastructure that support MACOM's MES system, overseeing MES configuration, and supporting change control processes.
Responsibilities- Make updates and design solutions within Eyelit Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Create and maintain existing internal documentation.
- Work with engineers to transfer new manufacturing processes into MES.
- Develop and conduct user training.
- Perform data mining and investigation.
- 0-2 years of experience in MES modeling – Eyelit, Promis, Workstream or similar.
- Minimum B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Information Systems, Information Technology, Analytics, Business Intelligence or related field.
- Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) or ability to learn.
- Data analysis skills, including working knowledge of statistics, SPC, and DOE.
- Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA).
- Strong communication skills – oral, written, and presentation.
- Experience in semiconductor-related work is a plus.
- Manufacturing floor experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
- Basic information technology concepts; ability to troubleshoot common Windows issues.
- Basic Linux knowledge or willingness to learn.
- Basic scripting skills or willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment as needed (5%-10%).
- Customer service mindset (internal to organization). Strong interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative problem‑solving ability within team and across functions (process engineering, device engineering, operations).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn.

RSU EligibleThis position may be eligible for restricted stock unit (RSU) awards and cash bonuses at MACOM’s discretion, subject to individual and company performance.
Salary Range$58,000 – $88,000, depending on location, experience, education, and skills.
