Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Risk Manager/Analyst, Operations Management
Job Summary
Under general direction, oversee and guide team of hourly/salaried non‑exempt employees in the Claims Department. Act as face of the team to external parties, such as other areas of the Company, customers, etc. As part of management responsibilities, monitor operations and team performance, ensure standard operating procedures are followed, and support escalated issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities- Assign open files to a group of Litigation Claims Examiners, monitor workload and adjust as needed.
- Provide counsel/give advice on new and existing claims.
- Coordinate with other departments or segments of the company, including outside vendors and customers.
- Ensure claims are reported in a timely manner to insurance carriers.
- Provide guidance on settlement authority to team members within defined ranges.
- Support night safety with questions and coordinate legal representation.
- Provide management guidance, coaching and mentoring to team members, including other personnel actions such as performance evaluations and hiring.
- Minimum:
High School Diploma or GED with more than 5 years combination of education, experience and training. - Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree with 4-5 years combination of education, experience and training. - Ability to communicate effectively over the phone.
- Ability to form strong arguments and defend a position professionally.
- Ability to maintain professionalism while dealing with difficult individuals.
- Ability to make independent, time‑sensitive decisions.
- Experience managing/supervising individuals and team.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience working in claims.
- Proficient time management skills.
- Self‑motivation.
Mon‑Fri: 08:00‑17:00.
CompensationStarting pay is influenced by skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications. The position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the Company’s bonus and incentive plans.
