This being a promotional opportunity, only current UML Employees with the same Bargaining unit are eligible to apply for this position. The Senior Assistant Director of Transfer Admissions reports to the Associate Director of Transfer Admissions and is responsible for traditional transfer admissions recruitment and yield activities. Responsibilities include admissions travel to local and regional community and junior colleges in the Fall and Spring semesters.
Evaluating transfer applications. Meeting with prospective students during appointments in the office, on the phone, or virtually. The Senior Assistant Director serves as transfer liaison for SLATE Processes and to the Enrollment Marketing Team. This role also contributes to the continuous improvement of admissions operations by implementing tools and systems to increase efficiency, streamline planning, and support team-wide communications.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with transfer students and Undergraduate Admissions.
- Experience working with SLATE.
- Experience working on marketing materials for admissions or enrollment management.
- The ability to work independently and to lead new projects is favorable.
- The ability to solve problems and advise students in a knowledgeable and accurate manner.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Master’s degree.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to establish a positive rapport with students, faculty, staff, transfer advisors from community colleges.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
Attention to detail required for evaluating applications and communicating with prospective students and on and off campus colleagues.

Anticipated salary based on qualifications within range: minimum: $65,693, 25th quartile: $74,725 and midpoint: $83,758. Please include a resume with your application.
