Lowell is looking for an experienced Parts Finishing Specialist to perform a variety of manual and mechanical finishing processes on medical device components. This includes deburring, polishing, washing, laser marking, blasting, using microscopes, assembly, and packaging. The ideal candidate will use a range of tools—manual, pneumatic, electric, and hand—to deliver high-quality parts that meet strict customer, print, and process specifications. Parts Finishing Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finishing tasks on medical devices including assembly, deburring, polishing, washing, laser marking, blasting, and packaging.
  • Visually inspect parts under microscope.
  • Review work instructions for specific process requirements.
  • Select and operate appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Identify and mark defects such as burrs, cracks, and splits for review or repair.
  • Visually inspect parts throughout the process to ensure product quality.
  • Accurately enter production data into the ERP system and complete required documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Parts Finishing Specialist

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience with finishing tasks such as grinding, sanding, polishing, deburring, and assembly required.
  • Previous experience in a medical device manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficient using hand tools, power tools, and powered equipment.
  • Comfortable using a microscope.
  • Basic knowledge of inspection tools and gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
