Maintenance Mechanic

St. Joseph, MO (Pear Street)

1st Shift (6:30am-2:30pm), 2nd Shift (3:00pm–11:00pm), 3rd Shift (10:00pm–6:00am). Overtime and weekends may be required. 2nd shift +$1.00/hr., 3rd shift +$2.00/hr., weekend shift +$0.29/hr paid weekly on Fridays.

• Troubleshoot and repair machinery and facility equipment
• Repair machines, jigs, fixtures, gauges and fitting replacement parts and/or make replacement parts as required
• Perform electrical, plumbing, heating and roofing repairs
• Read schematics and electronic blueprints
• Service and operate rectifiers
• Operate precision hand tools and electronic equipment
• Adjust machines for production when adjustment extends beyond operator scope
• Maintain and install piping, fittings, valves, gauges and all types of controls for hydraulic systems, gas and air lines
• Set up and operate lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, power saws, welder, etc.
• Perform periodic checks of machines and equipment and preventive maintenance (oils, greases, etc.)
• Perform carpentry and sheet metal work in fabricating and repairing benches, guards, boxes, trays, etc.

• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and working on computerized equipment
• Basic math, reading and writing skills
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment, multi-task, and track workload
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Ability to wear required PPE (if applicable)
• U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident card holder (Sponsorship not available)

• High School diploma or equivalent
• PLC troubleshooting experience (preferred but not required)
