What you will do
We’re hiring a Quality Technician to support in-process quality assurance within our battery manufacturing operations (DAP environment). This is an on-site plant role, working both in the quality lab and directly on the manufacturing floor. Reporting to the Quality Supervisor/Quality Manager, this role partners closely with production and engineering teams. The position is critical to ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and zero defects performance across pasting, curing, and COS/assembly processes.
The team drives in-process quality control and continuous improvement, ensuring product integrity before it reaches customers. This role plays a key part in protecting customers from defects, supporting plant performance, and maintaining compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Perform in-process inspections and audits across battery manufacturing operations (pasting, curing, COS, welding)
- Verify product characteristics (dimensions, weight, alignment, visual quality) against specifications and control plans
- Identify nonconforming material and execute containment actions to protect customers
- Maintain and track quality data, SPC charts, hold inventory, and calibration logs
- Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure accurate documentation, audit readiness, and compliance with EHS and quality standards
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (must be 18+)
- Experience using measurement equipment and documenting inspection results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic experience with SAP or other MRP systems
Preferred:
- Associate’s Degree in a technical field
- Experience in manufacturing quality or battery/automotive environment
- Knowledge of SPC, quality tools, and lab testing (chemical/raw materials)
