Position Summary
The Training Coordinator will support the onboarding, certification, cross‑training, and ongoing development of semiconductor manufacturing technicians in a cleanroom wafer fabrication environment. This role will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving training tracking systems; auditing technical training checklists; refreshing outdated training materials; and ensuring training records remain accurate, complete, and audit‑ready. The successful candidate will work closely with manufacturing supervisors, area coordinators, process engineering, equipment engineering, quality, EH&S, and peer trainers to standardize training practices and help technicians build capability safely, consistently, and efficiently.
EssentialFunctions
- Develop, maintain, and improve training tracking systems, certification matrices, skills dashboards, and status reports by shift, area, toolset, and process capability.
- Audit technical training checklists, on-the-job training records, and certification documentation for accuracy, completeness, revision control, and alignment with current procedures.
- Refresh outdated training checklists, job aids, and certification forms in partnership with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and EH&S stakeholders.
- Coordinate onboarding, role‑based training plans, cross‑training priorities, peer‑trainer assignments, qualification activities, and sign‑off requirements.
- Track training progress, identify gaps or delays, elevate blockers, and provide routine status updates to manufacturing leadership.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent manufacturing training experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, cleanroom operations, technical training, production coordination, quality systems, or a related environment.
- Demonstrated experience creating, maintaining, or improving training tracking systems, skills matrices, certification trackers, dashboards, or similar structured records.
- Experience auditing training documentation, technical checklists, controlled forms, standard work, or quality-related records for completeness and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work effectively with technicians, supervisors, engineers, quality, EH&S, and HR partners.
- Prior experience as a semiconductor manufacturing technician, process technician, area coordinator, trainer, training coordinator, or quality documentation coordinator.
- Experience with wafer fabrication, test, dicing, inspection, metrology, WIP tracking, manufacturing execution systems, document control systems, or learning management systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, cleanroom protocols, ESD practices, chemical safety, audit‑ready documentation, and training record retention requirements.
- Ability to translate technical procedures into clear training checklists, job aids, certification steps, and practical observation criteria.
- Experience supporting training improvements during staffing ramps, cross‑training initiatives, new tool releases, process changes, or operational improvement projects.
