Job Title
Forklift Operator – St. Joseph, MO (Pear Street)
Location & CompensationStarting pay: $25.42/hr with progression and incentive pay. Paid weekly on Fridays. Shift differential:
- 2nd shift (Mon‑Fri 2:30pm–10:30pm): +$1.00/hr
- 3rd shift (Mon‑Fri 10:30pm–6:30am): +$2.00/hr
- Paid vacation and 13 paid holidays

- Receive and unload incoming materials, verify quantity, and perform incoming inspection functions.
- Operate and service sit‑down power forklift trucks.
- Load miscellaneous materials onto trucks, such as scrap, empty drums, and materials for other plants.
- Supply production lines with necessary materials and move finished product, raw materials, parts, and packing materials to various plant locations.
- Maintain orderly warehouse and yard storage to maximize space utilization.
- Perform daily production cycle counts as directed by supervision.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate a power forklift truck.
- Comfortable working 12+ hour days.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to work in a hot environment.
- Physical flexibility to bend, twist, and kneel safely.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Willingness to come in early or stay late depending on production demands.
- Ability to wear required PPE.
The St. Joseph, MO Dry Assembly Plant (opened 1973) employs more than 860 people and manufactures automotive and marine batteries.
