Job Overview
The Clinical Administrative Coordinator works in coordination with the Clinical Nurse Manager/Director to ensure that work is accomplished safely and effectively for assigned unit(s). The Coordinator will be responsible for developing nursing staff through mentoring, coaching, and education.

Minimum Qualifications- Massachusetts RN Licensure.
- 5 Years of RN Experience with at least 1 year as a charge/lead RN.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Assesses the number and level of staff required to provide optimal quality patient care within budgetary constraints and adjusts staffing as necessary.
- Prioritizes and triages in collaboration with nursing staff to ensure the most effective use of patient care resources.
- Mentors and coaches nursing staff to enhance their professional development.
- Educates staff on department/hospital policies, procedures, equipment, and/or supplies.
- Supports activities needed to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and compliance with clinical patient care standards and established policies and procedures.
- Participates in departmental and hospital committee meetings.
- Participates in quality improvement activities.
- Maintains professional educational development as related to evidenced-based practice.
- Maintains a reciprocal relationship with the Clinical Managers/Directors to assure unit productivity.
- Monitors and assesses need to secure additional supplies.
- Rounds on assigned unit(s) and consults with the nursing staff to verify that patient needs are being met.
- Assesses and coordinates the flow of critical care patients to optimize resources.
- Acts rapidly and competently, follows hospital policies and procedures in any emergency situation.
- Ensures organizational policies, procedures, standards and practices are communicated and followed by staff.
- Identifies and allocates resources according to budgetary expectations, benchmarking data, standards of nursing practice and ethical principles of care.
