Position: Registered Nurse, RN- Mother Infant Unit, New Competitive Pay!

Job Overview

The RN independently provides direct nursing care to patients and their families in accordance with established policies, procedures, and practices.

Location:

Mother Infant Unit - Main Campus

Hours:

24 hours, part-time

Shift: Nights 7:00PM-7:00AM

The Community RN Career Direct Care Pathway placement is comprised of four levels based on a RN’s minimum experience, education, and qualifications.

  • Level I – 0 – Less than 12 Months of RN Experience.
  • Level II – 12 Months – Less than 3 Years of RN Experience.
  • Level III – 3 Years – Less than 8 Years of RN Experience.
  • Level IV – 8 Years of RN Experience.
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Massachusetts RN Licensure.
    • 12 Months – Less than 3 Years of RN Experience.
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
    • Department Specific:
      Certifications relevant to the department and the type of patient care being provided may be required.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
    Required Qualifications
    • Current RN licensure in the state of MA in good standing.
    • BSN is strongly preferred.
    • Candidates with an Associate’s degree in nursing may be considered, and are encouraged to enroll in a BSN program within 1 year of hire.
    • A minimum of 1-2 years in telemetry or intermediate care setting is preferred.
    • BLS required.
    • ACLS preferred.
    Physical Requirements
    • Occasional lifting of 30-35 lbs and turning patients.
    • Prolonged standing and walking.
    • Occasional twisting, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, sitting, kneeling, and squatting.
    • Exposure to infectious disease and possible carcinogenic chemicals.
    • Exposure of blood-borne pathogens.
    • Requires fine manual dexterity to lift and maneuver patients.
    • Requires visual and aural acuity necessary to monitor patient care.
    Skills & Abilities
    • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team.
    • Knowledge of and application of the nursing process.
    Compensation

    Pay Range: $37.50 - $68.47
