Job SummaryThe Clinical Manager / Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) at Vantage at Lowell is a key member of the nursing leadership team responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations while leading staff development, education, orientation, and competency programs. This position combines clinical leadership, staff supervision, education, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance to promote safe, high-quality resident care. The Clinical Manager / SDC serves as a clinical resource for nursing staff, supports resident and family needs, and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team and facility leadership.

- Oversee daily nursing operations and promote consistent, high-quality resident care.
- Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor nursing personnel to promote accountability and professional development.
- Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate follow-up and communication.
- Review and monitor resident care plans and ensure care is delivered in accordance with established plans of care.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, rehabilitation, social services, dietary, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Communicate effectively with residents and their families regarding clinical needs and changes in condition.
- Assist with identifying and addressing clinical, operational, and staffing concerns.
- Promote compliance with facility policies, procedures, and applicable federal and Massachusetts regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee new employee orientation and onboarding programs for nursing staff.
- Develop, coordinate, and conduct ongoing staff education and in‑service training.
- Conduct and/or coordinate competency assessments and skills validations.
- Identify educational needs based on resident care trends, audits, quality indicators, incidents, regulatory requirements, and staff performance.
- Maintain accurate staff education, orientation, competency, and compliance records.
- Ensure required education and competencies are completed and maintained in accordance with regulatory and facility requirements.
- Provide coaching and education to staff related to clinical practices, policies, procedures, infection prevention, resident rights, documentation, and quality of care.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and department managers to address identified education and competency needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with implementing corrective action plans when appropriate.
- Monitor clinical practices to ensure compliance with facility policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) activities.
- Assist with preparation for surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Identify trends and opportunities for improvement and assist leadership in developing and implementing solutions.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Schedule: Monday thru Friday
Qualifications & Skills- Active Massachusetts RN or LPN license required.
- Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred.
- Previous nursing leadership, staff development, education, or supervisory experience preferred.
