Overview
Our client, an advanced medical device contract manufacturer, is seeking Manufacturing Quality Engineers to support the buildout, validation, and production readiness of metal additive manufacturing systems. This is a hands‑on role focused on equipment qualification, process validation, and manufacturing quality, supporting the scale‑up of next‑generation 3D printing technology in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support Installation Qualification (IQ) activities for new 3D printing systems.
- Assist with equipment and process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and validation activities.
- Interpret and coordinate dimensional inspection and metrology data.
- Perform Gage R&R and measurement system analysis.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure process capability.
- Support inspection processes, including CMM and QC integration.
- Assist with root cause investigations and resolution of quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with medical device standards and regulatory requirements.
- 3–6+ years’ experience in medical device manufacturing quality (or similar).
- Experience supporting equipment or process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Exposure to capital equipment qualification.
- Experience supporting NPI or process validation activities.
- Exposure to manufacturing scale‑up or production readiness environments.
- Experience with QC inspection, dimensional metrology, and Gage R&R.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience supporting facility buildouts, scale‑ups, or production line deployment.
- Exposure to additive manufacturing or 3D printing.
- Experience with complex manufacturing systems or capital equipment.
- Familiarity with CMM inspection and metrology workflows.
- Experience in high‑growth or scaling environments.
