Job Overview Program Manager, Ingredient Supplier Quality (Coffee)

What you will do:

  • Own the supplier quality program for ingredient suppliers, including supplier onboarding, qualification, verification, compliance monitoring, and ongoing approval management.
  • Lead the onboarding and qualification of new suppliers and changes to existing suppliers in partnership with Quality, Food Safety, R&D, and Procurement.
  • Design and execute supplier verification programs, including audits, documentation review, risk assessments, and performance checks.
  • Monitor supplier compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements, and address gaps through corrective actions and follow‑up.
  • Maintain and govern supplier approval status, ensuring suppliers meet requirements to be added to and remain on the Approved Supplier List.
  • Manage supplier performance by analyzing trends, driving continuous improvement, and partnering with Procurement to review scorecards and supplier outcomes.
  • Investigate supplier nonconformances, lead root‑cause analysis, verify corrective actions, and ensure sustainable resolution.
  • Serve as the business's raw material expert, translating food safety and quality policies, regulations, and agency guidelines into clear supplier requirements and internal guidance.
  • Monitor emerging food safety risks that could affect raw materials or finished products and incorporate findings into supplier risk assessments and quality programs.
  • Support manufacturing operations by providing supplier quality and quality assurance expertise across the Enterprise.
Total Rewards
  • Salary Range: $97,000 - $125,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience managing food safety and quality systems in the beverage or raw materials industry, such as powders, flavors, water, coffee, or dairy.
  • Working knowledge of GFSI standards, FDA regulations, HACCP principles, and PCQI requirements.
  • Experience with food manufacturing processes, including process controls, sanitation, environmental controls, and microbiology.
  • Experience leading regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and corrective action follow‑through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and manage complex projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Lead auditor experience across recognized food safety or quality standards.
  • Experience in large‑scale beverage or food processing environments.
  • Experience building quality capability and strengthening quality culture across teams.
  • Experience contributing to strategic planning and leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Coffee or ingredient supplier quality experience.
