Position: Shift Supervisor – Back-end of Week, Day Shift

Shift Supervisor - Back-end of Week, Day Shift

Supports day‑to‑day Fab production execution for one assigned compressed work week 12‑hour shift, with focus on shift performance, technician coordination, WIP movement, safety, quality, and escalation of production issues. This role partners closely with 24‑hour counterparts to ensure continuity of operations, effective pass‑down, and aligned execution across shifts. This role reports to the leader accountable for overall Fab performance, staffing, strategy, and cross‑functional commitments.

Schedule Requirement

This position is assigned to a compressed work week schedule consisting of 3–4 days per week, with 12‑hour shifts. The role manages one assigned shift and is expected to provide consistent shift coverage, support shift start‑up and pass‑down activities, and coordinate production execution during the assigned shift.

Back‑end of Week, Day Shift

Thus – Sat and every other Wednesday 5am – 5pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Fab performance metrics and daily operating discipline, including Safety, Throughput, Cycle Time, Yield, and on‑time delivery.
  • Coordinate closely with Fab Engineering, Equipment, Quality, and Facilities teams to resolve daily production issues.
  • Escalate production risks and support alignment with Engineering, Business Units, Planning, and Production Control to meet customer and revenue commitments.
  • Monitor WIP movement and support on‑time delivery execution against committed schedules.
  • Support staffing, onboarding, training coordination, employee engagement, and consistent application of company policies in partnership with the responsible leader.
  • Reinforce a positive, accountable, and performance‑focused shift culture.
  • Support development of manufacturing technician bench strength through execution of approved training plans.
  • Track training plan progress and assist with comprehensive onboarding of new employees.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities in operational procedures, yield, and business systems.
  • Participate in productivity improvement and cost reduction initiatives across assigned shifts.
  • Execute and sustain 5S and Lean practices within assigned areas.
  • Support quality improvement actions in partnership with peers and cross‑functional teams.
  • Help implement standard work, protocols, and operating practices across shifts.
  • Interface with internal stakeholders and escalate customer‑related needs through the responsible leader as required.
