Location: Worcester, MA (100% Onsite)
Contract: 1 Year
K3 Innovations is seeking a Biologist I or Biologist II to join a cutting-edge Discovery Biotherapeutics team supporting biologics drug discovery and multispecific antibody engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to work with innovative protein therapeutics while contributing to the expression, purification, and characterization of next-generation biologics.

- Express, purify, and remediate multispecific biologics, including antibodies and antibody fragments
- Characterize biologics using analytical techniques such as SEC, LC/MS, DSF, SDS-PAGE, and endotoxin testing
- Perform protein purification using a variety of chromatography resins and AKTA purification systems
- Utilize laboratory automation platforms such as Hamilton, Assay Map, or King Fisher to support biologics discovery workflows
- Coordinate sample preparation, aliquoting, and handoffs to ensure timely delivery to cross-functional teams
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, generate reports, and utilize electronic laboratory notebook systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary scientists to support biologics discovery programs and deliver high-quality experimental results
- BS or MS in Biology or a related Life Sciences discipline
- Biologist I: 1-2 years of relevant experience (or MS with applicable experience)
- Biologist II: 3+ years of pharmaceutical or related industry experience
- Experience with protein and biologics expression, purification, and characterization
- Knowledge of analytical techniques including SEC, Mass Spectrometry (MS), and Differential Scanning Fluorimetry (DSF)
- Experience using sequence analysis software such as Vector NTI, Geneious, or Genedata
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Experience working with multispecific biologics
- Hands‑on experience with SEC, HIC, and IEX chromatography using AKTA platforms
- Experience with automation systems such as Tecan, Hamilton, or similar technologies
- Background in antibody engineering, design, and optimization
- Be part of an innovative biologics discovery team advancing next-generation therapeutic antibodies
- Gain hands‑on experience with advanced protein purification, analytical characterization, and laboratory automation technologies
- Collaborate with world‑class scientists in a fast‑paced drug discovery environment
- Long‑term 1-year contract supporting cutting‑edge biologics research
