Allied Universal is currently hiring a Full Time Armed Security Officer for a State Site in Lowell, MA.

Job Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Starting Pay is $25.88 per hour. Paid orientation and training are provided.

Candidate must have a concealed‑carry permit and at least one year of related experience.

As a Security Officer in Lowell, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries such as government. You will conduct armed patrols, monitor assigned areas, and remain visible to deter security‑related incidents. This role requires professionalism, strong communication, and exceptional customer service while supporting daily operations.

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, public officials, and first responders as needed.
• Conduct frequent armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, or vehicle activity to support authorized access and report unusual activity.
• Prepare written reports on incidents, patrol activities, and security concerns, and assist with traffic or pedestrian direction during emergencies, special activities, and other operational needs.

• Possess a valid concealed‑carry weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
