Duties include general security of the building and its students and staff; patrolling assigned routes; checking validity of credentials; protecting against fire, theft, vandalism, and unlawful entry. Work is performed under general supervision and standard procedures; the employee must exercise independent judgment in emergency situations. The guard is a first responder and must complete first responder training. The position requires wearing a uniform.
Preferred qualifications:
experience working with young adults as a coach or mentor; background in criminal justice, sociology, or related security fields.
