Overnight Campus Security Officer

Securitas seeks an Overnight Campus Security Officer to protect people, property, and assets on a busy campus. In this on-site role, you will conduct foot and vehicle patrols, monitor access points and CCTV, respond to alarms and incidents, and document activities in clear reports. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing professional, customer-focused service while enforcing campus policies. Responsibilities

• Conduct regular overnight foot and vehicle patrols across campus buildings, grounds, and parking areas
• Monitor access points, verify IDs and credentials, and secure doors, gates, and restricted areas
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and policy violations with accurate incident documentation
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and service calls, coordinating with campus staff and public safety as needed
• Monitor CCTV and security systems, escalating concerns promptly per post orders
• Provide professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors, offering directions and assistance
• Enforce campus rules and security procedures while using de-escalation techniques when handling conflicts
• Complete detailed daily activity and incident reports in a timely, accurate manner
• Follow all Securitas and client protocols, safety standards, and emergency response procedures
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain certifications and enhance security and customer-service skills
